Agro Market Access Program - AGROMAP

The "AGROMAP" program is a program aimed at promoting and globalizating the activities of the food industry in Lebanon. It opens way for  the Lebanese products to access international markets by identifying the most important techniques of promoting and marketing this industry. It also provides the sector's industrialists with the opportunity to participate in regional and international exhibitions specialized in the promotion of agro food and agricultural products, in order to promote the Lebanese products in line with international standards and the WTO requirements.

The main axes of the program

- The program is considered as a step towards strengthening the agro-industrial sector in Lebanon, among other sectors, as stipulated in the Investment Development Law No. 360, which assigns to IDAL the task of promoting Lebanese products.
- The beneficiaries of this program are Lebanese industrialists who are manufacturing food products depending on Lebanese agricultural products as raw material.
- the contribution of IDAL lies in the cost of renting and equipping Lebanese Pavilions in the planned exhibitions. This contribution ranges between 50 and 80 percent in international exhibitions.
- In each of these exhibitions, a place is allocated to promote the production of olive oil and other Lebanese agricultural produce.

The program has been tailored to cover potential markets for the Lebanese food industries as by participating in exhibitions in France (SIAL), Germany (Anuga), Spain (Alimentaria), the United States of America (Fancy Food Show), Australia (Fine Food Show), and Dubai (Gulf Food).
