Service Description
Hand-silvered distressed glass combines chemistry and artistry. This technique I will be teaching gives the artisan the ability to use the mirroring process in both their art and as functional art, (i.e. backsplashes, walls, cabinets, and furniture. This class can be done in one day. I will demonstrate how to silver the glass with a pump spray rig and then distress the mirror with various techniques. Students will spray and distress their pieces. I will supply all materials to make 2-4”x10”, 1-12”x12”, a framed piece, and a few other pieces as time allows. Students will have the option to add aluminum-colored leaves and spray colors to the finished pieces. Tools To Bring: Mid-arm length kitchen gloves, work clothes, respirator, packing supplies for transport
Cancellation Policy
Once you reserve your seat, it is yours for keeps. All registrations are final and IDAL is unable to offer refunds. Plans change, and your seat can too. You may transfer your registration to another attendee at no charge at any time. Email office@idal.org and we will make the swap.
