Embark on an artistic journey as FLOORmaps introduces you to a whole new way to stencil. Embrace the intricacies of our multi-layer one time use stencil techniques, and explore a multi-media installation using water-based dyes applied with precision sprayers and a variety of foil transfer applications to create your very own custom piece of history. Join us on a captivating journey where creativity knows no bounds and cultural exploration knows no limits. Expand your portfolio using this application to personalize your client's floors, furniture, or artwork. This technique will allow you to increase the scope of your business in so many ways! For this class, we will be reimagining Sotoori Hime by Eishi Hosoda (1756-1829), a traditional Japanese Ukyio-e style illustration of a Sotoori princess catching a spider with a fan. Tools needed: Airbrush with trigger action, Foil Transfer Sheets, and Stencil Adhesive Spray. FLOORMAPS will provide all basic tools for installation. Set/Dry Time: 10-30 minutes Material Information: Thin MDF Board with a Smooth Microtopping. No more than .25" thick, 13" x 19" or 22” x 14” Size Max. Samples: Small sample packs will be supplied that will have product samples of stencils, prints, and template material. Tools Materials Provided: Masking Tape, masking paper, envelope cutters, squeegees, water bottle w/ water, *Prevals with Glass Jars, erasers, marking pencil, sharp picking tools, precision blade pens, Concrete Dye. Tool Materials Needed: • Airbrush can be purchased on Amazon. Options below: • Foil Transfer Sheets of any color. Personal Preference. Can be bought at a craft store or Amazon. The Student registering for (a) an IDAL-hosted class is advised that after registering for a scheduled IDAL class, Student hereby acknowledges and consents to the following access restrictions and the Student agrees as follows: Student acknowledges and agrees that IDAL is hosting these class events solely for the benefit Of Student, based solely on Student’s promise and consent as stated herein: NOT to record the class under any circumstances, NOT to make a digital copy of a class for any reason or purpose, and shall NOT offer any such access for sale or free. The student shall NOT assign their access rights to any person. By registering for an IDAL online class Student shall be a Licensee of IDAL and thus granted limited participation rights as described here. The student agrees and promises not to violate any copyright or other exclusive rights of IDAL when accessing the class. This grant of licensing rights is exclusive to the individual registered Student and must not be shared in any manner or form with any other person or entity. Student agrees that in the event that the Student decides to cancel a class, it is the Student’s responsibility to resell that class. The student acknowledges that IDAL will not refund the cost of any class. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, the Student hereby agrees that IDAL may photograph or videograph the Student in the context of the Convention without compensation and use said images for publicity purposes. A student’s failure to fully and completely abide by the requirements stated above will jeopardize Students' continued membership with IDAL should be banned, and participation in all future IDAL activities should be banned.
