What happens when you stop following recipes and start creating your own? Creative Combinations is about exactly that. Mave Alft shows you how to mix, match, and combine plasters, paints, metallics, and textures into finishes that are entirely your own. You will work hands-on with products from Texturline, Valpaint, Meoded, and Golden Paintworks, learning how different materials interact and how to layer them with confidence. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN - How to combine plasters, paints, metallics, and textures into cohesive finishes - How products from different lines work together - Layering approaches you can adapt to your own client work You will complete 6 or more sample boards during the class, giving you a portfolio of combination finishes to take back to your studio. WHO SHOULD ATTEND This class is designed for intermediate to advanced finishers. If you are comfortable with the fundamentals and ready to push past single-product finishes, this is your class. ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR Mave Alft has worked in decorative painting since 1972, joining the family firm Alft Decorators before specializing in decorative paint and plaster. She has taught at Camp Faux, the Faux Retreat, and IDAL conferences, and served as a Master Class instructor for two Italian plaster companies. She owns Alft Decorators and Mave's Decorative Market, and is Creative Director at The PlasterCenter in Minneapolis.
