Service Description

What if you could transform a flat surface into something that feels alive? In this immersive workshop with Ellie Ellis, CMS of Elite Artistry By Ellie, students sculpt an original 11 by 14 inch plaster relief panel, a dynamic rising wave that captures movement, depth, and form. Under Ellie's expert instruction, you will learn both the artistic and technical foundations of professional plaster relief: how to prepare the panel, select the proper plaster for relief work, mix plaster to the ideal working consistency, and apply it in controlled layers to build strength, dimension, and structural integrity. Students are guided step by step through transferring a professional template, building elevation, refining sculptural transitions, and sealing and finishing the piece for durability and longevity. Ellie shares the same techniques she uses in her commissioned architectural and gallery works. This workshop is designed for artists of all levels, and each student leaves with a finished artwork and the confidence to continue working in this powerful medium. Your instructor: Ellie Ellis is a Master Decorative Artisan and Certified Master Stencilist with more than twenty years in high-end surface design. She works in bas relief, fine-art frescoes, and sculptural texture, turning flat surfaces into dimensional work. She founded the Elite Artistry Academy and teaches her Art of Depth method. Ellie provides the wooden cradle, plaster, templates, carbon paper, sandpaper, sealer, class notes with written instructions, and some tools such as pallet knives and trowels. Please bring: an apron, latex gloves, and a clay sculpting tool kit including loop tools and carving tools.
