Service Description
Romabio will take this opportunity to introduce IDAL to our decorative product offerings. We will break it up into two segments. The morning will be for lime paints (Romabio Velatura Mineralwash and Romabio Venetian Glaze), and then in the afternoon or after lunch, we will move into the Romabio plaster line. Since many are new to Romabio's decorative products, we will essentially be doing a Rombio 101 / getting to know the decorative products behind Romabio. In the first half, explore Velatura Mineralwash, a mineral-based paint that creates mottled effects on the drywall in two simple steps. Learn techniques for soft color variations and varied application methods. Sample boards will be made for hands-on experimentation, focusing on achieving movement and product protection. Venetian Glaze is an authentic slaked lime paint with many uses. This presentation will discuss how it can be used as a troweled-on plaster product to create beautiful effects on prepared surfaces like vent hoods, walls, etc. We will make a sample board with this product, show how it can be left flat or burnished, and discuss ways to protect it with Romabio plaster wax. We will discuss Romabio Italian Slaked Lime Plaster offerings in the second half. We will walk attendees through our plaster offerings and detail how each is used to create unique surfaces. We will create four pieces for samples. We are excited to bring in Nicola Checchin from Venice, Italy, to show his artistry with the products and share some insight on how the products are utilized in Italy and what creates the unique looks in high demand here in the States. You will try all the plasters Romabio offers, including Marmorino GF, Marmorino Flat, Marmorino, Satin, Grassello High Gloss, and Travertino. We will discuss how each plaster differs from the others and discuss limitations or best application tips for each product. We will also show some standard application methods for each product, create nice boards for you, and show your customer base.
