Master the Art of Sarrancolin Faux Marble with Jean Luc Sablé

Jean Luc Sable’s passion for decorative painting runs deep, rooted in generations of artistic heritage within his family. This cultural legacy naturally guided him to develop extraordinary mastery in painting techniques, culminating in a distinguished career that spans the globe.

Jean studied at two of Europe’s most prestigious institutions — the Flemish master school Clement VAN DER KELEN in Brussels and the MEYLEMANS school in Antwerp — graduating in 1985. Since 1986, he has worked as a freelance Decorative Artiste, completing countless projects for private residences, commercial spaces, theaters, and special events worldwide.

In 2000, Jean was awarded the Gold Medal for the "Best Craftsman in France," the highest distinction a decorative painter can achieve. Alongside his professional work, he has trained more than 1,800 students through various art schools in Paris, the United States, and his own SABLE SCHOOL in Versailles, founded in 2003, which proudly celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.

Now, you have the rare opportunity to study directly under Jean’s expert guidance in a focused, in-depth class on Sarrancolin Faux Marble — one of the most colorful, complex, and breathtaking types of marble. Originally quarried in France during the reign of Louis XIV and now largely extinct, Sarrancolin marble represents the pinnacle of faux marble artistry.

This class will dive deep into the process of painting Sarrancolin, challenging and refining your existing faux marble skills while adding a spectacular, portfolio-worthy technique to your decorative art repertoire. Learning from Jean — one of Europe’s most respected and gifted instructors — ensures that students gain a solid understanding of this intricate and rewarding marble style.

Beyond his teaching, Jean also serves as a Court-Appointed Expert for the Versailles Court of Appeal, advises on artistic litigations, and is a permanent member of the prestigious International Gathering of Decorative Artists ("SALON"). He is the author of Decorative Paintings and Trompe l’Oeil, which won the First Prize in "Art and Technology" in 2012.

Seize this rare opportunity to elevate your craft and master the art of Sarrancolin faux marble with Jean Sable in an exclusive online class on May 31, 2025.
